I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I graduated from Sierra Vista high school in Las Vegas, I joined the US Marine corps in 2004. I was deployed to Iraq in 2007. I finished my service in 2010. After that, I began to study again at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada with the intention of becoming a dentist. However, I felt the calling to the priesthood toward the end of my study. With the help of my aunt, who used to live in New Jersey, I came to New Jersey to discern my vocation because there are many religious orders. After spending enough time with each religious order, I also talked to the vocation director of the Diocese of Paterson. After my conversation with the vocation director, Msgr. John Hart, Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Morristown allowed me to stay with him for two weeks so that I could shadow him. This opportunity encouraged me to embrace the vocation to the priesthood. From this point on, I decided to follow Christ instead of becoming a dentist. I started my formation at the Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. When I finished my philosophy courses, Bishop Seratelli sent me to Rome to complete my theological studies. I was ordained a priest on August 1, 2020. After that, I returned to Rome to finish my advanced degree (STL) in Dogmatic theology. I am currently ministering as the full-time Chaplain at DePaul Catholic High school and assisting at Our Lady of the Valley and Holy Cross churches in Wayne on the weekends.
